Volunteering in Kenya

In the spirit of sustainable development, Adventure Global has partnered with local schools and hospitals in Kenya for a long time.

We're seeking volunteers with backgrounds in health, medicine, social work and construction to work with our local staff in the community for at least two weeks. Whether you're an active or retired specialist, you're welcome to volunteer your time and skills for one of our projects. We're also looking for unskilled workers who can work for at least two weeks under the supervision of our local staff, and if desired, they can stay longer.

Who can volunteer?

We welcome anyone interested in volunteering with us, whether an individual or a small group. We'll arrange a fantastic volunteer trip full of fun and adventure for you.

Why volunteer with us?

We aim not to create stereotypical impressions of rich Westerners going to Africa to offer help; instead, it's about intellectual tourism and exchanging knowledge. You'll volunteer your time freely in Africa to teach and learn from the local people.

Kenya faces wealth distribution challenges, and the gap between the rich and the poor is significant. The country has a functioning Ministry of Health, but the need for medicines and doctors still needs to be solved. The health system requires more support with medication and expertise.

We encourage teachers, nurses, doctors, midwives and social workers to volunteer for at least two weeks; those who can work longer will be preferred. The community you'll work with as a volunteer will significantly benefit from your help, and you'll also learn much in return. After volunteering, you can include a week or two for safari or mountain climbing.

Join us at Adventure Global, and let us introduce you to the beautiful country of Kenya, its warm people and rich culture. Contact us to discuss the options and opportunities available and how you can best fit in with your profession, skills, and abilities. Our team will work on finding volunteer placements that suit you.

For our EU (Swedish customers), a police extract will be required before you're considered for placement. For our UK customers, a DBS record will be required.
