Class trips to Kenya are specially designed with the young people in mind. These trips not only provide a lot of fun and adventure but also teach independence. It is also mutually beneficial to the community that you come and visit. After some of these trips, we have seen young people come home with a changed attitude about life, morals and values for the better. They return home feeling that they have made a difference and positively impacted the community they have visited.
Not only will we be involved in charity programs and camping, but the trip also involves climbing Mt Kenya, the highest peak of Lenana at 4,985m (16,355ft). It will be an outstanding achievement for many youngsters to climb Mt. Kenya and stand on top, considering this may be the first time many will camp out for a week and climb a mountain. It is a fun and safe multicultural event for young people.
We will also go on an adventure safari to explore more of what Kenya offers. Visit the national park, see rich wildlife and experience Kenya's diverse culture. Through all this, the groups will live together in a great spirit of teamwork, share experiences about life and much more. The whole experience will be transformative for many, positively affecting their morals and life choices.
These trips in Kenya allow young people to see life differently. These young people will experience life in Africa and be challenged mentally and physically in many ways. Learning to live and work together in a development project with other young people from different cultures is part of maturing and making decisions about what to do in life. These trips will also help them improve their social life skills.
We work in Kenya with schools and other organizations that will benefit from these trips. Although we have a flexible itinerary, we always ensure it includes charity work, some challenging activities and, of course, a visit to the National Parks for a game drive.
Each day will be completely different from the other, and you will soon learn to work in a different rhythm of Africa. These are long and active days, whether you are looking after the camps or the projects, climbing a mountain or travelling through national parks to see animals. It is vital to rest appropriately and drink plenty of water! Meals are prepared every day, but everyone helps.
There is always shopping and a lot of time spent with the locals, especially the kids, who are very eager and excited. They have been waiting for their summer camp all year! There will be visits to all sorts of places, full of activities to organize and much more to do. The days will fly by, and needs to be longer to catch up on everything.
